Ellie's Words (at 20 months)

Ellie has a friend named Ellie (born the same week even). That Ellie has been speaking since they were 12 months old. She doesn't just say "mom"" and "dad". This girl would say things like "I'm hungry". All the while, my Ellie was still working on "dog".

Well, now months have passed and I need to write down Ellie's words as of now before she turns into a parrot (she's close by the way). She's really doing great and she even surpasses what the doctor says is average. Anyway...

  1. Mom-ma
  2. Dad-da
  3. Noooooo
  4. Uhh (yes)
  5. bye
  6. Eye
  7. No (nose)
  8. Mou (mouth)
  9. Bay (Brain)
  10. Toes
  11. Cho Cho (train)
  12. Woof (dog)
  13. Moon
  14. Shh (be quite)
  15. Bee (for any bug)
  16. Be (beans)
  17. Chee (cheese)
  18. Ju (juice)
  19. bubbub (bubbles)

Ellie- Potty Trained?

Ellie and I hav a ritual. She wakes up, I open her door and she hands me a diaper. I change her, she throws away her old diaper and we wash our hands.

This morning she wakes up, I open her door and she grabs my hand and leads me into her bathroom. I sat her on her toilet and she went! I asked her if she wanted a diaper and she said "Noooo" so she spent her morning running around naked. I was amazed that she made it all morning, all the way till nap time, dry! No accidents, no diaper. This girl amazes me!

Nursery- Easy Transition

Ellie is now in nursery at church. She likes it but it took her about two months to get the hang of things. Daddy had to stay in with her while I taught my class for the first few weeks. Last week she still needed him to go in for the first few minutes and then she let him leave. She was so good! The teachers said she didn't even cry. I'm proud of her, she's braver than I am! After a few incidents of being scratched so hard she still has scars, I am still apprehensive of letting her stay in there! I suppose the snacks, music time, coloring and socializing all make it worth it.
